E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Carnival Kid

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Carnival Kid. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of his music.

Carnival kid offers us music that winks at the past, with classic sounds that do not neglect elements of modernity that make his songs immediately recognizable.

Beautiful chord progression and dynamics of the works of this eclectic artist.

Melodic lines never banal that grow in a harmonious way with the musical arrangements.

Carnival Kid’s vocal timbre is very nice, warm, sinuous with a good extension that allows this artist to move a lot on the musical scale.

The instruments used are real and the music proposed is real, felt and sung by heart.

A great passion accompanies this artist in his sonic journey and he is able to transfer these emotions in music in an impeccable way.

An artist that I absolutely recommend, in a historical period where rock is always a bit in the shade, finally someone who brings some light.

Ever Present Past is Carnival Kid’s Ep Out Now!

Great creativity seasoned with a beautiful voice!

Ubiquitous set pieces of our past shape our daily life in a very subtle or even conscious way. Our actions are determined by our experiences, which in turn has an impact on our future. In the eight songs of his EP “Ever Present Past”, Carnival Kid presents these very set pieces – subtle memories, formative experiences and above all the question of what you would change if you could.

The songs move between laid-back, relaxed indie folk and energetic fist-in-the-air hymns, accompanied by synthesizer carpets and crunching indie guitars. Above it all there are Carnival Kid’s warm and charismatic vocals, sometimes rough and fragile, sometimes powerful and unleashed.

Ever Present Past is already the second EP by the singer/songwriter from Erfurt/ Germany and, like its predecessor, was created as a DIY project in his home studio. In the course of 2020, 6 of the 8 songs were already released and helped Carnival Kid to a steadily growing fan base and great recognition in the German indie scene.

With airplays and extensive contributions on various major radio stations, such as Deutschlandfunk Kultur, FluxFM and MDR Kultur, he continuously gained listeners and supporters.
