Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed The Cookie Jar Complot in the past but they are back with a new single and I want to share my opinion about it.

The unmistakable style of this band manages to get noticed in a world full of noise.

The melody of the guitar is sinuous and intriguing and the drums support the rhythmic foundations in an impeccable way.

The music of The Cookie Jar Complot makes you fly with your imagination. While listening to the new single Cookies I closed my eyes and saw myself driving a car in the desert. The road between the dunes towards the horizon made me feel free.

The wind in my hair and the warmth of the sun have seasoned this sense of freedom and introduced me to unknown parts of my unconscious.

This music is a beautiful journey that I recommend everyone to do.

The Cookie Jar Complot have the ability to thrill with their music so I recommend them to everyone.

Mature and Magical!

Capturing the excitement of taking on new challenges, COOKIES travels from melancholic warmth to ambitious hopefulness through funky progressions and catchy licks in a way that only post-/math-rock hymns can.
Strategically layered guitars guide the listeners through various emotions and culminate in unexpected, playful trumpets and haunting riffs.

THE COOKIE JAR COMPLOT is the band’s eponymous hymn whose driving beats catapult you right in a sports car, driving raucously late at night. Mischievous guitars steer you right past the fast paced bits of life and leave you to revel in a sweet bossa nova goodness for just a little while, before pulling you back into a whirlwind reality of rude yet charming riffage. This is a turbulent journey you won’t forget.
