Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Cyclone is Electric High's Single
Cyclone is Electric High’s Single

Good Day Noir Family,
one of my favorite bands is back with a new captivating single called Cyclone.

Cyclone is Electric High’s Single

The wild energy, hallmark of this fantastic band, runs in the DNA of this song. A DNA made of irreverent notes and words that make you unleash your pure instinct, the only one not wearing a mask.

While listening to Cyclone I imagined being at the circus and seeing the Ringmaster dominating the show and mesmerizing the audience with his number.

A nice metaphor to describe the dramatic situation the world is experiencing, where normal people are animals and there are politicians with complicated personalities who are turning our lives upside down … at least this is my interpretation.

Electric High offers music that entertains the listener and that at first listen seems “light” but there is always a deep message in their songs … that’s what I like about them. They manage to spit the truth in your face, although the message may be raw and hard, it is always wrapped up in a nice package.

This band is always fantastic there is no doubt about it!

Pure Irreverent Rock!

Cyclone is Electric High’s Single

You know when you feel like a circus animal that’s being chased around the ring, trying to escape the Ringmaster’s notorious whip? It feels like a giant storm is building up around and inside you, that is about to break loose with full force … This song is not about that. It’s about the Ringmaster, and being the one who swings the whip on other people. The one who whips up the storm and demands that everyone follows his command.

Cyclone starts with both Electric High’s lead singers, PV Staff and Olav Iversen, literally spitting the letter FFFFFFF into the microphones, before the whole band kicks in with full force into a pounding upbeat groove, which kind of reminds you of Rocks by Primal Scream, handclaps and all. The bridge coming up next, sounds like the whole band is tripping on acid, while singing brow-raisingly out of tune lalalala’s. Cyclone rages on into another verse and another bridge of off-pitch lalalala’s, before the chorus opens the beat up, amplifies the power, and the C-c-c-yclone appears. The band takes a tiny little breather, with a strange littlle repeating guitar lick, before the storm breaks out again, and tops it off with another bridge and chorus, that measures close to 50 meters per second on Beaufort’s wind scale.

Cyclone was recorded in Havnelageret Studio, Bergen, Norway, produced by Electric High and Daniel Birkeland.
Mixed at Solslottet Studio, Bergen, Norway, by Iver Sandøy. Many more releases from Electric High will follow in 2022.

Electric High is a high voltage rock band from Bergen, Norway, influenced by bands like Wolfmother, Aerosmith and Black Sabbath. The members hail from bands like Sahg, Faith Circus, and Emmerhoff & The Melancholy Babies. Electric High goes straight for the throat, fronted by two in-your-face lead singers, carried forth by a power-trio that shoots out pure electric power.
