Distant Sound is Oliver Mavilio’s Single

The sound of this artist is very original.

A compositional style that looks to America while maintaining a European approach that makes this music very interesting.

It is as if Oliver Mavilio had managed to bring Johnny Cash together with the Beatles and Nick Cave. Very different and distant influences from each other but perfectly blended in this musical recipe.

The vocal timbre of this artist is perfect for the genre. A voice that seems to hide a secret, with nostalgic overtones capable of hypnotizing the listener.

The musical arrangements are well thought out and cared for in every minimum nuance.

This is Oliver Mavilio’s debut single, but he already proves to have an enviable artistic maturity.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Mature and Original!

“Genuine track inspired by western cinema. Rich guitar tones with slapback delay, rockabilly style vocals. A nod to Johnny Cash and Nick Cave. Quite a dark tone throughout, totally understand that people often don’t know how to feel about what I sing, and what I write, but I think that’s all part of discovering new music. You need to be challenged. Whether that means feeling uncomfortable, nostalgic or unhappy or whatever. I think that is equally as important in a song, as anything else is. I believe in telling it how it is, and when it gets rough, doing this is the only way I know how to deal with it.” – Oliver Mavilio
