The compositional style of this artist is really interesting.
A sound that takes inspiration from the past but at the same time manages to be modern.
In some moments Ma9Na’s music reminded me of John Carpenter’s film soundtracks and in others, I heard shades of Depeche Mode.
An electronic and twilight sound that makes you want to take the car and wander around the city at night.
Surely we are dealing with an artist who has dedicated his life to music. The Attention to every small detail makes this music very intriguing.
The thing I liked the most is that his songs unleash a very particular energy that is able to speak directly to the heart and soul of the listener.
A very interesting discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Down for the Count (The War Mix 2022) is Ma9Na’s Single
Living in Tasmania, a small island on the southern tip of Australia which he fondly calls ‘the arts end of the world’, is no deterrent. With technology and social platforms, he says the opportunities for sharing his creations are endless.
Ma9Na started playing drums as a kid and by 13 years of age was sneaking into New Zealand pubs to watch local rock bands.
At 14, band members pulled him onto the stage to play drums in one of their songs. They wanted to give him a chance to experience the thrill of playing live to an audience. Needless to say, he loved it.
Drumming will continue to be his first love, but he’s always had a secret passion for writing, recording, and producing his own original songs. Nowadays, he has a home studio where everything is at his fingertips.
Ma9Na is also a closet Bass player, a born-again Guitarist and he says, “he plays Keyboard like a one-finger typist”.
A reimagined, reworked and remixed 2022 version of Down for the Count (the WAR Mix 2022) has released. This Anthemic Anti War, Pro Humanity song is sadly fitting for recent events that should never have started. Nothing has been learnt!
