E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Primes

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Primes. I discovered this amazing band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked a lot the quality of their music.

This band is really talented. The thing that impressed me the most is the vocal quality of the singer and the choirs. I really liked the mixture of male and female vocals.

A very well done rock/pop, beautiful melodies and lyrics.

These guys do not joke and propose to the audience professionally produced songs with refined sounds and a perfect mix.

The chord progression is very captivating and the Primes are able to keep you glued from the first second until the end of the song.

We discovered this band by chance but it’s no coincidence that we liked it.

I think they can go a long way because they don’t lack anything to emerge and make themselves loved even by the general public.

I’ve always liked Scotland and now I like it, even more, thanks to the sound of this talented band.

Shangri-La is Primes’ new single out now!

Quality music, refined style!

After building significant traction over the last 12 months through the releases of singles ‘Nine Lives’, ‘Dreamer and I’, and ‘Moment’, Scottish Pop/Rock trio Primes now release brand new song ‘Shangri-La’. Though distinctively recognisable as Primes, the song expands on the band’s sound, demonstrating their growth as a band as they use their confidence to explore new sonic territory.

Primes explain the story and meaning behind the song: “’Shangri-La’ is an imaginary paradise, heaven on earth and the fulfilment of our wildest fantasies. As the saying goes, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ‘Shangri-La’ explores the truth behind the fairytale and the reality that some people unfortunately don’t have a happily ever after. Life can be tough, it will throw you curveball, it’ll beat you down and it’s not always rainbows and butterflies. What makes us keep going? It’s hope. Hope that the future holds something better and It’s exactly within those moments that life becomes exciting, interesting and makes the good times even sweeter.”

Despite the pandemic, Primes are in a good position to continue their upward trajectory, having played festivals such as Vibration Festival, Butefest, Gig In The Goil and Party At The Palace throughout 2019, with many of their 2020 festival booking being honoured in 2021.
