E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Eddie Cohn

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Eddie Cohn. I discovered this artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was attracted by the rhythms of his songs.

We are dealing with a very experienced artist, who produces songs that reminded me of Beck.

Modern and pressing grooves mixed with more real sounds like psychedelic guitars, ethereal keyboards, bongos, shakers.

Excellent construction of the songs with a varied and catchy melodic line accompanied by a chord progression never obvious.

The lyrics are interesting and in ‘Freedom’, his new single, Eddie speaks about our life now… a mirror on the world we are living in today.

A truly excellent discovery.

A mature artist able to excite but also to make you dance with this mix of tribal rhythms that blend with the beats of your heart.

Freedom is Eddie Cohn’s Single Out Now!

Intense music that goes straight to the roots!

After a five year hiatus from the world of music, Eddie Cohn returns with a song inspired by the dystopian world of Covid-19.

Pearl Jam meets Peter Gabriel in this powerful first single off Cohn’s upcoming record called “Dystopian Days” due out next year.

“Freedom” was recorded in Los Angeles during the chaotic times of Covid-19 and features Bruce Watson from the band Foreigner on guitars and bass and Jake Reed on drums and percussion.

Cohn wrote, sang and self-produced the song which should land on all streaming services later this year.
