Their talent as musicians and composers is highlighted once more in Excelsior. The attention to detail is maniacal and the search to amaze the listener with rhythmic and harmonic intuitions is simply fantastic.
Generally, too technical musicians have an inability to create catchy melodies. This is not the case with this band that manages to combine technique with melodies that remain in your head for a long time.
The guitar solos are beautiful and the rhythmic designs are flawless. The voice that pushes with the same determination as Dave Grohl gives the right energy to these beautiful songs.
