As soon as I pressed the play button I realized I was in front of a singer-songwriter with a great deal of experience behind him.

The melody and chord progression of the new single Foxy Friends reminded me of artists like David Bowie. The vocal interpretation is also very expressive.

You can feel that in the soul of this artist the sacred fire of rock burns, a rock that leaves room for melody and that somehow winks at a compositional style of the past.

The production is a little rough and it could be improved. But perhaps this artistic choice makes this sound even more sincere and direct and somehow enriches it with meaning.

Peppermint Moon is a mature artist, his songs could achieve great success worldwide as they are catchy and resonate in your head for a long time after listening.

A nice discovery that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

Peppermint Moon is the recording project of longtime SF Bay Area/LA musician, Colin Schlitt. He writes, performs, and produces every song by himself. As a member of other bands, he has played some of the most historic venues on the west coast, has been heard by millions in television sync placements, and has been on the verge of signing record deals multiple times.

Colin also works as a teacher and plays bass and sings some of his songs in the band El Radio Fantastique. “Foxy Friends” was written and recorded during a week-long Covid quarantine after watching a Sex Pistols documentary and too much cable news.
