Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Frat Mouse. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their vision and songs.
This band offers us a very well made alternative rock with raw but effective sounds.
I was very impressed by the singer’s voice that reminded me of Adam Duritz of Counting Crows. Also, the melodies and chord progression of some of their songs reminded me of the band from Berkeley.
These guys alternate marvelous ballads with more energetic tunes but always maintaining a unique style.
A rock, folk/alternative with deep lyrics.
These guys seem to have clear ideas on how to propose themselves to the public and have already developed a very recognizable sound.
In my opinion, if they work a little bit more on the production they could really become a band of the highest level.
The sound research is remarkable and the Frat Mouse experiment constantly and are able to surprise for creativity and innovation.
A band to follow because the talent here certainly does not lack.
Plywood is Frat Mouse’s Album Out Now!
Sincere experimental music that reaches the soul!
Quote: “We are Frat Mouse and this is the title track for our third album, coming exactly one year after our first. From January 5th of 2020 to January 5th of 2021, its been quite the year. We watched ourselves graduate from high school and transition to college, or what was left of it at least.
We watched relationships with friends rise and fall. Some of us traveled across the country into a brand new world. But all of us lost something. This whole album covers everything that has happened to us in the past year.
We’ve spent 7 months working on it and we’ve never been more proud of anything else we’ve ever made. We just want as many people as possible to hear it and hopefully connect with music in the same way that we do. Thank you for your consideration and stay safe”.
