Monique Sherrell Brown is a multiple award winning multi-genre singer/producer out of Queens, NYUSA. In 2012, Brown started her musical journey when her then journalist colleague, Magee Hickey, introduced her to the cabaret scene. This landed her performances at venues such as Don’t Tell Mama, Broadway Comedy Club & The Laurie Beechman Theatre. From that world, she then moved to back-up vocals briefly in a short-lived country/blues band and ultimately went in the direction of solo artist. She is a two-time Fair Play Country Music & LDM Award winner. Brown has also been nominated for the Josies, International Songwriting Competition as well as others. Her second Single from her “When I Say Project” is modified Jesse Mae Hemphill cover called Go Back To Your Used To Be.
