The vocal mixture between the female and male voices is intriguing. Hair Care is a refined song, impeccably built harmonically speaking.
For some reason, I would see this track as the soundtrack to a movie set in New York. Jordan Popky always manages in her compositions to bring out the flavors of her city.
The musical arrangements are impeccable, and the melody of the strings reinforces the emotional feeling of the Chorus.
A song that speaks directly to the heart and soul of the listener.
I suggest to everyone to listen to this tune several times in order to appreciate the numerous nuances… a song to be savored in small sips like a glass of aged whiskey.

This single, with its catchy chorus and three-part harmonies, marks Sarah Mickey’s artist debut, Adam Tilzer’s first original release as a solo artist, and Jordan Popky’s first release of what is going to be a busy year for all three artists.
Jordan Popky is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter from the Philadelphia area. While her music is most often described as “indie alternative,” Jordan’s musical roots are solidly folk. The influence of the Philly-local folk community that fostered her growth as a young musician show themselves in her story-centered lyrics and winding melodies.
