The sound of this band takes you back to the past. A compositional style that is inspired by the legendary rock of the 60s / 70s but which adds a twist of modernity.
Surely we are faced with great musicians, the musical alchemy that these guys have managed to create among themselves is fantastic.
The vocal interpretation and musical performance are flawless and entertain the listener from the first to the last second. The sound in general is energetic and powerful and unleashes positive vibes.
GAZ is a band with a mature and solid artistic vision. Happy Girl is a pure rock song with no strings attached.
Finally a band that prefers to play real instruments instead of relying on computer beats.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

With retro, foot-tapping grooves and powerful guitar riffs, pop-classic-rock band GAZ are the epitome of rock and roll with a signature twist. GAZ released their carefree and playful album ‘Watergazed’ in February 2020, mixed and mastered by renowned engineer George Shilling (The Soup Dragons, James Brown, Mike Oldfield, Blur). Transporting listeners back to a time when The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Chuck Berry stormed the charts, GAZ have dedicated their lives to crafting music that is nostalgic to listeners of all ages.
The origins of GAZ began 20 years ago in the city of Barcelona. Ignited by a passion for music, three friends set out on a journey to create music that lifts the spirit and entertains the crowds.
Combining pop and rock, ‘Watergazed’ is full of classic rock and roll flavours, reminiscent of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Written by all three band members, the songs explore a range of topics, jam-packed into one cohesive record. Josep Antoni Lopez, lead vocalist and bassist, took the role as lyricist, pulling inspiration from his life experiences accumulated into an assortment of stories. True to form, Jordi Perdigo’s epic guitar riffs, Albert Perdigo’s drum fills and Josep Antoni Lopez’s powerful vocals are the foundation of GAZ.
Much of ‘Watergazed’ has this anthemic feel, transporting listener’s back to the soundscape of the euphoric 60s and 70s rock and roll.
