E.A.Poets Approved/ Bands We Like – Hounds Haul

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Hounds Haul. I discovered this band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I loved the professional production of their songs.

We are faced with a very professional band with clear ideas on how to develop their musical project.

The production of the songs is very good and the songs are played impeccably by the band.

Melodies that wink at Cold Play, Depeche Mode, and Tame Impala, with a pressing rhythm that makes you dance.

A very modern sound, a great presentation for a band that can surely please a large audience.

Nothing is left to chance and also the graphic representation, photos, cover, and videos reflect the artistic direction of this talented band.

A band of sure talent that we absolutely recommend to lovers of the genre.

The Roamer is Hounds Haul’s Single Out Now!

Songs studied and produced at the highest level!

Ali Horn · End Credits

Founded in Buckinghamshire late 2019, Hounds Haul started as the brain child for years of accumulated work by Frontman Adam Bosworth. Instead of going solo, Adam went in search of like minded musicians to help bring his work to life.

Adam was put into contact with fellow Buckinghamshire musician, bass player Jamie Smith. Adam sent Jamie early versions of songs Riviera and Capital, and Jamie, a big fan of 80s post punk and synth wave was hooked straight away describing it as ‘Depeche Mode meets Tame Impala’. Synth & keys player Rien De Keyser and Alex Ablett on lead guitar joined the band after. Rien, a classically trained pianist has an ear for the unusual, the avant-garde and a wide range of musical tastes. Alex also has a wide variety of musical interests with a particular love for heavy rock.

By the end of 2019 the band was already seeing success in their local area, playing a string of shows around their hometown of Milton Keynes and wider local area, including London. The band also released two self recorded singles, Red Sycamore and Capital, the latter receiving plenty of local radio play. All of this helped the band carve out a local fan base and have been considered “ones to watch in 2020“.

This is the bands second studio release following the very successful single Riviera.

This song is another pumping anthem, high energy that does not slow down, a very exciting song that sounds best played loud. One of, if not our favourite song to play live.

You can really hear how strong this band is. They absolutely own that song (Riviera) and make it something that’s so instantly identifiable” – Danny Fullbrook, BBC Introducing
