Metallica’s leader, James Hetfield, will take on a role in the film “The Thicket”.
“The Thicket” is inspired by the novel written by Joe R. Lansdale. The producer is Peter Dinklage, who will also have a part in the movie.

Dinklage became famous because he played in the TV series “Game of Thrones”.

The shooting has already begun, but the role of Hetfield is still mysterious. In the cast, there will be other actors and actresses like Juliette Lewis, Esmé Creed-Miles, Levon Hawke, Leslie Grace, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Macon Blair, Ned Dennehy, Andrew Schulz and Arliss Howard.

The protagonist is Jack, a man who decides to rescue his sister Lula from “Cut Throat Bill” and his band. To complete this mission, he will resort to the help of 3 characters. They are the bounty killer Reginald Jones, an alcoholic excavator of graves son of a former slave, and a street whore.

The group will be forced to follow “Cut Throat Bill” into a land called “The Big Thicket”, a mysterious and chaotic place.

It is not the first time that James Hetfield appears on the big screen as an actor. In fact, he played in the 2019 movie “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile”. The film tells the story of serial killer Ted Bundy and Hetfield assumes the role of agent Bob Hayward.

The leader of Metallica also played himself in the Showtime Billions series, in the series “The Simpsons” and in the films centered around the rock band. He also worked as a narrator in the documentary “Addicted to Porn” in 2017 and for the History Channel series “The Hunt”.
