our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Whitbeck and their album January 22. I found this band on Spotify and I liked these songs a lot.

This band led by the talented musician and composer Greg Whitbeck offers epic and intense rock songs.
The thing I liked most about the compositional approach is that there are a lot of influences. In some moments this music reminded me of bands like Nickelback and in others U2.
Obviously, the sound is different but the musical vision in my opinion comes close to bands of that type.
There is certainly a lot of experience behind this project. Songs so complete and solid can only come from a person who deeply knows the musical language. A person who over the years has understood how to transfer his emotions into notes.
January 22 is a beautiful musical experience that offers energetic moments interspersed with intense ballads.
A coherent album where all the songs are well thought out and solid.
I recommend everyone to go and listen to it, it is worth it!
