E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Jaymotts

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Jaymotts. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the crazyness of their music.

Fasten your seatbelts, gentlemen, because we’re off on a journey into a strange but fascinating world of sound.

Stuff yourselves with candy put on your 3D glasses and enjoy the ride.

Imagine yourself on a roller coaster in a fantasy world made of fuchsia hills and yellow sky, imagine people running towards you offering you cotton candy with the distorted faces of the actors of Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden…

This is what comes to my mind while listening to the music of this eclectic duo.

A lively, innovative, and different music, these guys have fun playing and this joy comes out in their songs.

It must be emphasized that they are very good musicians because the musical parts are not at all simple and the melodic construction and chord progression are never banal.

This music in my opinion has no middle ground or you like it or not but certainly does not leave indifferent.

I personally liked it a lot and even if I generally write about rock I believe that rock is also a way of approaching life and this light-hearted and irreverent way of Jaymotts is definitely very rock.

Autofunk is Jaymotts’ Single Out Now!

A different innovative and avant-garde band!

Jaymotts bring their own humorous brand of fun funk-rock to your world!

Jaymotts were born out of the abyss of early 2020 pandemic tedium… two old friends starting exchanging funk-rock ideas and it all just kinda got out of hand.

Quote: “A comically wry exploration of the humankind and machine taking a cue from Gary Numan and injecting the funk big style.

Underpinned by an infectious bass riff Autofunk is an up-tempo number that aims to put a smile on your face.
