After 10 years away from Flyleaf, Lacey Sturm has officially reunited with the band.

The news has spread out thanks to some photos released by the hard rock favorites. On November 7th, Flyleaf shared a photo with Lacey Sturm. Besides that, in their profile pictures, you find an image with the words “Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm”.

Who is Lacey Sturm? Let’s know some key facts about her. It was in 2002 that Sturm began her musical career with Flyleaf.

Within the band she recorded 3 albums. The first, “Flyleaf”, gained success with the singles “I’m So Sick,” “Fully Alive” and “All Around Me”. It went platinum in 2005.

In 2009 Flyleaf released “Memento Mori” and, in 2012, “New Horizons”. It was exactly before the release of this album that Sturm left the group. The album was nominated for the 2012 Rock Album of the Year.

Sturm took this hard decision as a consequence of the sound engineer’s death. The event caused her to reflect on life and dedicate more time to her family.

Did you know? In 2008 Sturm married Joshua Sturm, the guitarist for the band Kairos. They recorded an album together in 2019 with the title “Reflect Love Back” Soundtrack vol. 1.

During her career, Lacey Sturm released also a solo album and many solo songs. In 2016 her solo album “Life screams” reached the top of chart Hard Rock Albums.

Sturm is now a very convinced Christian, but in the beginning, she was completely atheist. Her conversion passed through contemplating suicide Then, she ended up in a church where a man spoke to her. She believed his words were coming from God.

The reunited Flyleaf has announced to perform at Las Vegas’ inaugural Sick New World Festival. They nor Sturm have officially declared her return to the band. Even so, fans are celebrating the news.
