The determination that this artist puts into composing and interpreting her songs is contagious.

I was immediately struck by her irreverent and direct style that doesn’t look anyone in the face.

This artist doesn’t search for shortcuts and follows her instinct which allows her to compose intense songs. Alternative rock with no strings attached.

KAT seems to have clear ideas on how to propose her music to the world, her artistic vision is solid and mature.

I believe that we are facing an artist who will be very successful as her attitude is already that of a winning person.

The production and interpretation are impeccable, an absolutely professional sound product.

I’m curious to hear what KAT will be able to do in the future, Liar Liar is a good song but I believe that this artist’s creativity has no boundaries.

Absolutely recommended for everyone!

KAT is a singer-songwriter whose soulful, cutting-edge pop marks her as a unique artist. It was the voices of old school blues and soul legends like Aretha Franklin and Etta James that first made KAT want to sing: “I loved their tone, the raw honesty and emotion of the songs they sang, the story-telling, the baring of their soul through their voices – I knew I wanted to sing with this kind of authenticity and write songs that had a story to tell”.

When it comes to writing her songs, Kat often looks to her own life experiences for inspiration; the ups, the downs, and the turnarounds.

Kat’s upcoming EP champions the underdog; showcasing the light and dark in her music is important to her: “I love to create positive songs that have their roots in a darker place. Often it is in the struggle that I’ve needed music most – that ugly place, when you’re right in the thick of things and can’t see a way out. These are the songs I’ve looked to in my own challenging times and the kind of songs I want to make to let others know they’ve got this and that they’re not alone.”

While her lyrics ooze deep vulnerability, the instrumentation often has a more positive spin, meshing the two sides of the coin – creating a juxtaposition to carry hope and an underlying purpose – to empower.
