Life In This Haunted House is Moraine’s Single

Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s featured band is Moraine and their single Life In This Haunted House.

Life In This Haunted House is Moraine’s Single

The sound of this band is direct and sincere an alternative rock with very interesting harmonic nuances.

Although Life In This Haunted House is the debut single, these guys already demonstrate a solid artistic and musical vision.

The chord progression is very well thought out and the rhythmic and melodic variations are never banal and obvious.

While I was listening to this cool tune two bands came to my mind, the Foo Fighters for the musical part and for the vocal line in some moments I thought about Alice in Chains. A sound blend that is certainly original and fascinating.

It feels like Moraine spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this musical chemistry.

I’m curious to see the evolution of their artistic path, I think these guys will gift us with many beautiful songs.

Life In This Haunted House is Moraine’s Single

Moraine is a four-piece rock band from Baltimore. A raw distillation of years of experience colliding with a bold step forward, the band draws from influence from the far reaches of 90s alternative rock, emo, and hardcore; their sound is anchored by huge guitars, earnest vocals, and an airtight rhythm section.

“Life In This Haunted House,” the first single off their upcoming debut record, is the sound of Moraine hitting the ground running. Produced and mixed by Phillip Odom (Code Orange, Turnover, La Dispute), it perfectly encapsulates the band’s penchant for mixing driving riffs, earworm melodies, and earnest, deeply emotional lyrics.
