The sound of this band has bewitched me. This magical and hypnotic music is emphasized by the magnificent voice of the singer.

A rock that takes inspiration from the past that manages to mix rock with ethnic influences.

The first few notes of this song made me think of Ireland. The video instead reminded me of Yellow from Cold Play.

Scarlet Joy have recently started making music together but it feels like these guys have compositional experience behind them.

The chord progression is never predictable and banal and entertains the listener from the first to the last second. The production is a bit rough but in my opinion perfect for the genre. It makes this sound even more direct and sincere.

Lost at Sea is a beautiful song that I recommend everyone to go and listen to. A band with great potential to keep under the radar.

Rich in raw emotion Scarlet Joy have a sound that cuts deep. Brought together by vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Sophia Woodcraft, this power trio was formed in 2019 with bass player Tom Latham and drummer Drew Moore.

With a list of influences that runs from PJ Harvey to Shirley Manson, Nirvana to Nine Inch Nails, Scarlet Joy have forged a unique fusion that is both vulnerable and powerful, weaving together their haunting vocals, distorted guitars and fierce drums with intense sentiment.

They have been bringing their exciting mix of potent grunge and emotive alternative rock to independent venues and grass roots festivals throughout the UK.

Scarlet Joy have just recorded their first album. The upcoming ‘Mourning Pages’ lays bare the whole human condition, exploring themes of love, loss, hope and fate.

The album will be released later in 2022, date to be confirmed.
