E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Lykos

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Lykos. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of their music.

Lycos offer us a real sound, pure and direct, music that winks at past times, a deliberately rough production that fits perfectly to the music proposed by this band.

Real and alive sounds that reach your soul and make you want to move and dance in a chaotic way

…listening to their songs you just want to let go and abandon yourself to the magic of music.

The world needs these uncompromising bands, direct music, without beats, autotunes, etc., you need music that comes from the heart, music that is born in the rehearsal rooms.

Rebellious, authentic sound that I really liked.

The fact that the general sound recalls a way of making music from the 80s and 90s is the strength of this band because somehow they manage to be modern and it is this subtle balance between past and future that makes their sound unique.

Absolutely Recommended!

Slaughterhouse is The Lykos’s Single Out Now!

Real, direct music without strings attached!

Lykos are a 3 piece Grunge/Punk band from Bristol. The group are notorious within their fanbase for high energy performances, nostalgic 90s influenced sound and heartfelt Lyricism. Over the last couple of years the band has shape-shifted and cycled through various drummers, finally settling down with the most ideal possible lineup.

Lead by frontman Ezra Young, Bassist Lewis Lloyd, and brand new drummer; Robert Taylor. After working the new drummer into the band over 2020, Lykos are now very excited for their upcoming release ‘Slaughterhouse’. The song is very high energy and remnant of the ranging Dynamic and gritty sound of punk/grunge bands from the 80s/90s.
