Good Day Noir Family, The Lunar Keyscontinue to produce quality music this time it’s Maniac’s turn.
Maniac is The Lunar Keys’ Single
The cadence of this song immediately won me over.
A rhythm that makes your neck move in time with the music. Maniac’s harmonic and rhythmic progression is intricate and intense.
Although the sound is more mellow, this tune reminded me of Ghost’s compositional style, especially in the chorus.
I really liked the guitar solo around the second minute. An instinctive and raw solo that managed to represent the mental instability of a maniac in notes.
The melody of the chorus is haunting and stays in your head from the first moment you hear it.
The nostalgic feel of the minor chords gave me goosebumps. I think The Lunar Keys are a great band and they prove it again with this great track
Maniac is The Lunar Keys’ Single Out Now!
Nostalgic!
Maniac is The Lunar Keys’ Single
Recorded by Billy Foster at Snap Studios and mastered by John Davis (The Killers, U2, Royal Blood) at Metropolis, the song is about someone you know that preys on your vulnerabilities and gaslights you. Someone that invokes the maniac inside of you.
The release of MANIAC will continue this Lunar tradition: “The Steve, our guitarist, is just recovering from an all-important operation at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, our hometown. In recognition of all their splendid support to The Steve and so many other patients, The Lunar Keys pledge to donate £1 for each of the first 250 reviews or airplays that MANIAC receives to the nurses at The Royal Surrey Hospital.”
Edgar Allan Poets is a noir rock band built on the literary universe of Edgar Allan Poe.
For over a decade the band has explored Poe's psychology, Gothic aesthetics,
Victorian darkness, and his influence on modern culture — through music, writing,
and this archive. Their album 555 and store collections translate Poe's darkest
visions into sound and design.
