This artist has the great ability to transfer his deepest emotions into music.

A delicate and confident voice that speaks directly to the heart and soul of the listener.

Marry Another Man is a beautiful ballad, magical and nostalgic at the same time. The chord progression is refined and never predictable and banal. The rhythmic and harmonic variations manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

Wise John is a poet who is inspired by the great songwriters of the past but who managed to create a unique sound blend that makes him stand out from the crowd.

A sound that lives in a limbo of its own, between past and future.

Go and listen to Wise John’s songs, you will be surprised by the quality of the arrangements and the exciting melodies of his tunes.

A former computer engineer-turned musician, Wise John makes big indie music that’ll grab your soul and shake it. Inspired equally by the virtuosic big band arrangements of Electric Light Orchestra and the poetic approach of singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan, he harnesses a jazz pianist’s mastery of harmony and heart-tugging lyrics into songs that show you new ways to feel, and sound like nobody else. Is his music retro, or something entirely new? It’s hard to say.

WJ’s debut album, A Wonderful World, was self-released in 2021 to critical praise, and has since attracted a small but loyal following. Written during a personal low point and recorded with friends (including producer Alex Strahle and Echosmith bassist Noah Sierota) over a long weekend during the pandemic, its mixture of rock, pop, and old-time jazz was hailed as “one of the most creative, unique, and bold debut statements from an up and coming artist in recent memory” by Cody Conard at The Big Takeover.

Now based in New York City, Wise John is busy putting the finishing touches on several projects including collaborations with artist Elise Trouw and producer Quinn Devlin.
