Good Day Noir Family,

Melancholy Way is PARKER’s Single Out Now

I was very impressed by this artist.

He is just 16 years old and already has a compositional maturity that makes more experienced artists blush.

Surely we are dealing with a talented songwriter and musician.

The most difficult thing for an artist is to understand where he wants to go and to have a solid and mature artistic vision. PARKER has clear ideas and an infectious determination.

Melancholy Way is a beautiful alternative rock song, modern and fresh but it also winks at the past and reminded me of a typical English way of composing songs.

The production and interpretation are impeccable, this tune entertains you from the first second to the last second.

I also liked the change of atmosphere around minute 2.50 which gives a dance touch that reminded me of Empire of the Sun.

I suggest to everyone to keep PARKER under the radar, this artist will go a long way…a star is born!

Catchy and Fresh!

There’s a buzz emanating from the Gold Coast around emerging, teen singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist PARKER, with his sweet, surfside, indie tunes and a fresh, innovative approach to his burgeoning music career.

“I’m a huge fan now, dude. Not only the music but meeting the guy behind it. Great work,” music icon Joel Madden of Good Charlotte recently tweeted to his 750,000 followers.

And it’s not hard to see why. Not only does PARKER write, play, sing and record his own music, he’s also responsible for the quirky animated video clips that accompany his infectious tunes.

“Really encouraging signs from Parker. Snappy seaside indie vibe and that he’s only 15 makes me think the best is yet to come from this dude,” Triple J music director Dave Ruby Howe commented of PARKER’S 2021 release Wasting Time, from his debut EP HUNKY DORY.

PARKER dives head-first into the creative process, curious to experiment with all music-making platforms, unencumbered by any pre-conceived notions of what a modern music career should look like. HUNKY DORY was launched digitally in the NFT world on the Cardano Blockchain.

This innovative approach led to a meeting of minds with Joel Madden from Good Charlotte and the MDDN team. Their mentorship, encouragement and support has opened doors and marked PARKER as “one to watch”. His new tunes, How Love Works, Melancholy Way and Isle of Madness are released on the MDDN Record Label and are soon to be released as NFTs in collaboration with MDDN, Art2web3, and NKMR.

PARKER’s self-made animated video for How Love Works was a finalist in the Queensland Creative Generation Visual Art Awards. And at 15 he won the Mullumbimby Music Festival Youth Mentorship as a duo, Bridge Left, with the super-talented vocalist Jamie Lamont.

His live gigs with PARKER’S four-piece lineup – James on lead guitar, Sam on bass and Levi on drums – are attracting rave reviews for their irresistible, fizzing energy. “A cool Friday night in the Basement at HOTA starts with four-piece PARKER. These lads are still in high school but doing some great originals with their youthful energy, hitting the right notes, and giving us their own unique cover of INXS’s Don’t Change. Lead singer and songwriter Sam Lethbridge is just starting but someone to watch,” wrote Lisa Miller from Blank Street Press.

With influences as diverse as DMAs, Dominic Fike and The Smiths., and hints of Rex Orange County and Vance Joy in his raw, honest, catchy song writing, there’s no ceiling to PARKER’S bold musical ambitions. He has big plans for his own unique, music/art space and a laser focus on keeping it all fun while pursuing his dreams.
