Captivating!

Jason Smith, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Asheville, N.C., formed Night’s Bright Colors in 2003 with a rotating cast of friends and contributors.

Smith’s new, self-titled album revisits — and reimagines — favorite tracks from previous releases, most of which were self-recordings. Night’s Bright Colors, recorded, mixed, and produced by Kevin Boggs (Fashion Bath) is a streamlined representation of Smith’s past projects.

Smith also writes music for film, television, and theater, and that expansive, cinematic quality is palpable on Night’s Bright Colors
