This duo has managed to create a sound environment so sinister and original and fascinating that it leaves me always speechless.
Every time I venture into their sonic universe I am fascinated by the dark and epic atmospheres.
Like when you stand in front of a door and hear in the other room that something strange is happening. Curiosity and fear are in balance but in the end, you decide to enter to face your fears.
The artistic vision of HVIRESS is very intriguing. These girls have a clear idea of what to do and know which audience to entertain. When an artistic project is so solid both musically and visually, success is guaranteed.
The video is beautiful, fetish, irreverent, and strangely magical at the same time. The thing I like about HVIRESS is that although they always try to take us into the abyss, within those depths I can see some romance and a light of hope.

No Exit – a song and music video based on the play by Jean-Paul Sartre. This time the fetish- clad pair are accompanied by Simon Field, who is drowned and degraded throughout each scene, making No Exit a feast for the eyes that would make even the most indifferent viewer hot under the collar.
Sonically, the track is a slow, sinister build into an explosive, hook- driven chorus, delivering sulphur-hot vocals from Hana and Mishkin.
No Exit is is included alongside other iconic artists on the compilation release “This Is Deathpop” on Give/Take records, a boutique record label based in Los Angeles and Minneapolis, specializing in auteur-driven, experimental projects with an electronic approach (host to David J Haskins of Bauhaus, Love & Rockets).
Production and video direction comes from long-term HVIRESS collaborators Garry Mitchell (Birdeatsbaby), Evan Rodaniche (Cage9) and Scott Chalmers.
