I already reviewed Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends in the past but this eclectic artist is back with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.
No Sweet Dreams is Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends’ Single
The rhythmic cadence of this song and that whistle instantly hooked me.
A style that somehow brought me back to the 80s but there are modern nuances that make this sound blend modern and unique.
One of the things I liked the most is the double vox which manages to give a very interesting effect to the voice.
The chord progression is intricate and the rhythmic and harmonic variations follow one another preventing the listener from settling down…pure entertainment from the first to the last second.
Since the first time, I listened to Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends I had appreciated the compositional qualities of this artist but I must admit that with this song he raises the bar even more.
The arrangements are fantastic, particularly mention for the sound of keys that can be heard in solo at the end of the song. That riff keeps resonating in my head.

In another life ALIEN FRIEND plays guitar and sings in the Swedish band REDMOON. This is his solo project.
During 2021ARN-IDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS AND ALIEN FRIENDS has released a string of singles and a double album. The latter, co-produced by legendary David Myhr (from the Merrymakers) brings together elements of power pop, folk and indie rock, but although many of the songs might be rooted in musical soil of the sixties and the seventies, there’s no nostalgia here. The lyrics are heartfelt and poetic, sometimes ironic, but contemporary and always honest.
A big group of musicians have contributed on the project. Apart from multitalented David Myhr who plays several instruments on many tracks – and shares lead vocals on some of them – the friends in REDMOON must be mentioned: Daniel Lagerlöf, Åke Lindgren and Johan Lundström.
More good things are yet to come. Three new singles launches during 2022. The first of these, the melancholic By Your Bed was released in May. A full length-album will hit the shelves in the beginning of 2023.
