Good Day Noir Family,
Route 500 are back with a new single Not Today. I’m already a fan of this project so it’s a pleasure to share my thoughts about this new tune.

The slow and soft candor of this song immediately hypnotized me.

How nice to find music, from time to time, that moves at a different pace than most other songs out there.

I really enjoyed those little changes of rhythm that are able to bring you back to reality for a little moment. This music is a thin barrier that divides two parallel universes.

Some harmonic intuitions reminded me of Radiohead.

I have to say that this is one of the best songs I’ve heard in recent times. Not Today is of such an intriguing sophistication that is difficult to describe. The artistic and compositional maturity of Route 500 is exceptional.

This song is a masterpiece!

I was really impressed with this tune and I can’t help but congratulate Route 500 for giving me such a great moment of music.

Route 500 are a new independent project from Brighton, illustrating life observations and dissociative states through their dynamic, lo-fi sound and compelling vocals. Not Today comes as the second single from their upcoming debut album set to land later this year.

‘Not Today lives in the moments you don’t want to engage with the world, creating any menial distraction to steer clear of your own mind, drifting through numbness, wanting to be left well alone and for time to simply pass.’ – Route 500 are not ones to shy away from the heavy topics and this powerful alt/indie classic traverses a landscape of dark emotions, coming to a roaring crescendo that would remind anyone how to feel something again.
