Good Day Noir Family,
our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Shady Oaks and their new single Numb. I found this Band on Spotify and I was fascinated by their sound.

The sound of this band immediately intrigued me. A psychedelic and hypnotic compositional approach.

Surely these guys have decided to follow their musical vision and have been able to create something new.

Their sound reminded me of a kind of a sort of ‘Grunge Blues’ with modern overtones. I was really impressed by the music of Shady Oaks.

It is not easy nowadays to find bands that are able to propose something different.

It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such enviable musical chemistry.

The guitar solo, of the new single Numb, that closes the song is fantastic. The track itself is well thought out and the chord progression is never predictable and banal.

A band to keep under the radar because these guys are mature and ready to entertain the masses around the world.

10 out of 10!

Shady Oaks is a high energy heavy blues rock band from Denver, CO.

We got together in 2019 and played our first gig in March of 2019. We took the downtime in Covid to write and album and hit the ground running once we were released from lockdown. We picked up Loren Dorland while recording vocals for “Tequila” at her studio Mighty Fine Productions. She sang on the track and we added her to the line up shortly after.

Numb is a song Ty wrote when he felt as if he was actually numb from emotion. He described that he could not feel anything towards his ex but would move along with the relationship hoping that one day it would change.
