Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to One Haven. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere created by their music.
I immediately liked the style of this band. A rock that finds inspiration from the past, the vibes of this fantastic new single ‘Ember’ reminded me of the bands of the 90s.
The compositional style made me think of bands like Type O Negative with shades of Alice in Chains.
This is the music I love, sincere and direct without many plasticized beats. A sound that comes from the heart and awakens a spirit of freedom in the listener.
The production is simple but perfect for the genre, this ballad is very emotional and it is beautiful how the male and female voices come together.
I quickly became a One Heaven fan and can’t wait to hear their new songs in the future. A band to keep under the radar because they produce quality music.

Formed originally in the early 2000s by Jason Taylor as a solo project, One Haven was always just that – one haven, a safe place to turn the beauty and confusion of existence into something real and beautiful that others might identify with. After spending a number of years as lead vocalist for metal project Templedown, Jason decided to give One Haven new life with the addition of Templdown guitarist Danny Mack, and occasional guest appearances from Jen Taylor (his lovely wife).
