our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Blue Orchid Reaction and their new single Personal Revolution. I found this Band on Spotify and their style intrigued me.

I was struck by the sound of this band.
As soon as I hit the play button I didn’t know what to expect. Then I immersed myself in their music and I have to say that these guys were able to create a unique sound.
The choice of sound ingredients is very original. I would call this music “Mellow Modern Grunge”.
Surely these guys are inspired by the past in their compositional approach. But at the same time, they manage to be modern with the inclusion of current and refined sounds.
The mysterious atmosphere of the new single Personal Revolution is contagious. For some reason they made me think of bands like Collective Soul.
Certainly, Blue Orchid Reaction spent a lot of time playing together to get this sonic chemistry. A band to keep under the radar as they produce interesting and intense music.

BOR are a Yorkshire-based indie/alt-rock band. High-quality songwriting is evident with their strong output from the well-received ep Four Chord Theory through to the current single Sunset Claims. More top quality out put is assured from the outfit. BOR are made up of Paul (guitars/vocals), Dominic (bass/vocals), Matt (guitar), and Alex (drums). They developed from the ashes of their previous bands to form a strong musical unit that focused upon the joys of rock n roll and writing melodic but hook-ridden music for you to dance and sing along to.
