Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Pete Held. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his compositional style.
The thing that struck me immediately about this artist’s music is the passion that Pete Held puts into composing and playing his music.
A direct and confident sound that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
I would refine the recording a little more but perhaps the fact that the sound is a little rough makes the musical product proposed by this talented artist even more unique and original.
This Ep in general is beautiful because it manages to create different atmospheres. You go from easier vibrations as in the Night Sky to more sinister and mysterious vibes as in You’re Undone.
Pete Held is an eclectic artist who likes to experiment and bravely walks on musical paths never traveled before.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
Epoch Sane is Pete Held’s Ep Out Now!
Sincere and Unique!
Pete has been writing and recording music since the early 2000s with his band PastMidnight. This band had a focus on live performance in the “classic rock” sound and performance style. Recently, he has found new inspiration in the modern recording tools that allow him to be more expressive with less physical equipment and wishes to pursue a path in the modern online market.
The music Pete creates can fall under several categories, but would most commonly be classified as rock. More accurate descriptions could be “Folk Metal” or “Trance Rock”. His strongest influences come from Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree, so Progressive Rock may be the most accurate categorization of what he is doing now, although the occasional blues rock song will surface.
