This band proposes a very modern and interesting genre. The thing that immediately hooked me is the rhythmic cadence of their new single Red Lights.
These guys show that they have a developed artistic vision and above all an excellent knowledge of music.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Passive Fix have managed to create a unique and original sound blend that makes them stand out from the crowd. Frankly, I’ve never heard anything like it.
Jazz, Rock, and Alternative influences make this genre avant-garde. A band that was able to create its own musical universe and that offers music of the highest quality.
I instantly became a fan of this musical project.

Red Lights is Passive Fix’s Single
‘Passive Fix’ is an alternative rock band from birmingham who strive to blur the lines between genres, including pop, rock, metal, jazz, punk and everything in between.
Founded by lead vocalist and saxophonist alex mccarthy, the band became fully formed in march of 2022 at the royal birmingham conservatoire, with alex collett-sinfield on saxophone and guitar, david kirkham on drums and sam stringer on bass guitar and backing vocals.
With multiple headline shows under their belt, and shows supporting names such as ‘pit pony’ and ‘foxhaunt’, the band continue to develop and embellish their music in a live setting, creating unpredictable, high energy live shows with a wide range of instruments and technology.
‘Passive Fix’ have been featured on local and national radio stations including bbc radio northamptonshire, west midlands, barstool music radio, hfm radio and more, with press including a feature in outside left magazine.
