Good Day Noir Family,

The compositional style of this artist certainly takes inspiration from the classic rock of the past.

The harmonic construction is interesting and the chord progression is never obvious or banal.

In some moments the vocal melody reminded me of David Bowie. The lyrics are deep and show that Gregory Lioi also has something to say.

We live in an alienated world, all hiding behind our cell phone screens. Where is the love? this is what this artist asks himself. Where has the passion gone?

The road the world has taken is very worrying but we must never stop hoping for a better future.

Sometimes I Feel is a catchy song that stays in the head for a long time and above all the sincere lyrics make the listener think.

A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Gregory Lioi is a veteran rock & roll idealist. Driven by personal conviction and the love of a great hook, he launched a solo project in 2022. In February 2023, he dropped the anti-war song “Protected By Bombs” in response to elevating hostilities around the globe. On “Sometimes I Feel” he questions reality in a fractured world viewed through social media. In a radio-ready pop tenor he sings “Where is the love?” as the track builds from a catchy college-rock nugget to a cinematic indie-pop anthem.
