The sincerity of this music is touching. A simple sound that comes from the heart.
Mark Rosal is an artist who is able to entertain with minimalist arrangements. The lyrics are deep and speak directly to the soul of the listener.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal. The production is raw but I believe this adds a greater charm to this artist’s sound. The fact that the music is under-processed makes the overall sound even more honest and direct in my opinion.
The thing I liked the most is the passion that Mark Rosal puts into interpreting and composing his songs.
The nostalgic melodies of his new single Song For Ellen are moving. The compositional style of this artist is inspired by legendary songwriters such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan but obviously Mark Rosal has managed to create his own way of transferring emotions into music.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
