E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Starry Skies

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Starry Skies. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked a lot their sound.

What beautiful music Starry Skies offers us, music that gives hope, music that comes from the soul and reaches your heart.

You can feel their passion for music, for sure they have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room…they play very tight.

I was struck by the research of the sounds, the acoustic guitars are fantastic accompanied by strings that caress you while the drums beat to the rhythm of the heart.

The voice with its warm timbre completes this magnificent picture.

Real sounds, perfectly mixed, where each sound element finds the right space in a perfect balance.

Imagine driving in the Scottish highlands surrounded by those emerald green fields of moss, one of those days when you want to lose yourself.

Imagine listening to this music and you’ll understand that that moment will become perfect and eternal.

A tear of joy and nostalgia will fall down your cheeks and a ray of sunlight will make its way through the gray clouds illuminating your face … you will hint at a smile and everything will be perfect.

Forgotten Dream is Starry Skies’ Single Out Now!

A gift from Scotland!

The track is taken from new album ‘Do It With Love’ with the BBC Radio Scotland Roddy Hart Show likening the song to Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra and also making DIWL their album of the week.

Forgotten Dream is a call for us to look to the positive wherever we can and the chorus of “Don’t you worry baby….” is positive upbeat and catchy. Never a bad thing in a pop song especially in these troubled times!

Previous single ‘I Want You To Know’ was played by over 100 radio stations/shows and ‘Do It With Love’ (released on 14.11.20) was album of the week on a variety of radio stations.

“Hands down one of the finest singers Scotland has ever produced and a singular song writing talent.
Poetry infused with humanity, insights and great tunes.” – Stevie Jackson (Belle & Sebastian)

Starry Skies are Warren McIntyre (Vocals/Guitar), Heather Phillips (Violin/Vocals), Jen Lunan – (Vocals/ Cello), Adam Scott (Bass), Johnny Rooney (Guitar) and Sophie Pragnell (Viola/Vocals/Percussion).
