This album gives us a clear idea of Rob Lea’s artistic vision.
His alternative rock pop is really catchy. The songs follow one after the other and each one could do well on the radio.
There are nuances of Muse in his compositional style, at times even of Queens of the Stone Age and Prince. The song that gives the title to the Ep Stop What You’re Doing is just fantastic. While listening to it I started yelling “Stop What You’re Doing…’couse I’m a freak” I couldn’t get this line out of my head after I listened to it.
There are no weak songs. The atmospheres change but the hallmark of Rob Lea’s sound is consistent throughout the album.
Sometimes I wonder what more an artist can do to get noticed by the world. The production is perfect, the interpretation masterful and the songs are flawless…as I’ve said in the past for me Rob Lea is ready for the masses.
I wish him a lot of success as he produces great songs.
