our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Left Backs. I discovered this great band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I instantly loved the energy of their songs.
These guys are great and propose very funny and energetic music. The Videos are also a must-watch, they reminded me of Foo Fighters in the concept of their videos.
The Left Backs offer music that ranges from punk to psychedelic rock.
They joke in videos and lyrics but they don’t joke at all while playing, they are good musicians who know their stuff.
The band seems to have clear ideas on how to propose their project to the masses and they certainly do it while having fun.
In a particular time for the world certainly The Left Backs are a breath of fresh air.
Listen to them to distract you from everyday problems, they will make you have fun and spend a few minutes of healthy good vibes.
Welfare Lady is The Left Backs’ Single Out Now!
Energetic music that will make you feel good!
Liverpool-based Irish indie rockers The Left Backs release their new single ‘Welfare Lady’ on Friday the 27th of November. This new offering from the lads is a blistering punk influenced banger, told from the perspective of a hedonistic waster who finds unlikely love in a likeminded lady at the job centre.
The listener can expect snarling vocals, a shredding guitar solo, a relentless rhythm section and uncontrollable fits of headbanging.
This continues the momentum from their last single ‘Reminisce’ which garnered them support from BBC Introducing, as well as being their most streamed single to date with having over 25k streams on Spotify alone.
After forming in Belfast in 2015, the boys made the pilgrimage to Liverpool to study music at university. Once graduated, they made a blood pact to dedicate every waking moment to writing, rehearsing, recording and (most importantly) performing live for as many people as they can before ultimately realising they should have listened to their parents and studied Business Management.
