Good Day Noir Family,
Jodi Heights is back with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.

This artist is always capable of taking you on a journey into the past.

While listening to the new single The Myth, musically speaking, you feel like you are in Paris during the Belle Époque. The smell of baguettes pervades the streets of the city and happy people meet and start dancing in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

On the other hand, the lyrics are about an uncomfortable topic. The American dream is called into question. I thought about when Trump said, “I asked my father for a small $ 1 million loan“.

The rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer, this is the reality.

The most fascinating thing about this song is the contrast between “good vibes” music and such sharp lyrics. When a song is able to communicate so many emotions it means that its purpose has been achieved.

Jodi Heights continues to raise the bar by proposing tunes of the highest quality both in terms of composition and interpretation.

10 out of 10!

Singer-Songwriter Jodi Heights addresses the ever-growing wealth gap with her new single “The Myth”. With theatrical flair, Jodi begins the track with jazzy, upbeat piano and escalates into big-band glory.
Jodi Heights just released the accompanying lyric video on July 21st. Lyrically, “The Myth” at first appears to be an inspiring rags-to-riches story of individual success, but it quickly switches to cheeky truth-telling:
But what he doesn’t say is daddy pays the rent And mommy’s left her fingerprints on every cent.
