Made by New Orleans’ own John La Tier with a star-studded cast and thick Southern Gothic cinematography…Indywood is proud to announce the World Premiere of this modern filmic rendition of Edgar Allen Poe‘s masterpiece, The Tell-Tale Heart. Our kick-off screening on Friday, June 27, will be complemented by a few bottles of wine and conversation with the director, John La Tier.
La Tier is a NOLA-based filmmaker. He has long dreamed of creating a 12-part series based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe. Now he’s brought the dream to life.
“The first of my twelve-part Poe series,” says La Tier, “begins with The Tell-Tale Heart starring:
Patrick John Flueger, Rose McGowan, and Peter Bogdanovich. Elements of the classic storyline are woven throughout the film which is adapted to portray the tormented mind of a POW suffering from PTSD. The film’s characters are projections of a fractured identity, the splintering that happens in the aftershock of extreme and prolonged trauma.”
We wish to all the cast and crew a great success for this wonderful movie and Edgar Allan Poets are really proud to be part of it with their music.
