Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | These Drugs is The Thing With Feathers
These Drugs is The Thing With Feathers

Good Day Noir Family,
The Thing With Feathers are unstoppable and this time I’m please to share with you my thoughts about their new single These Drugs.

These Drugs is The Thing With Feathers

That mysterious and deep sound that introduces the song immediately hooked me.

An unexpected sound that doesn’t make you understand what turn the song will take. Then the verse starts and we understand that we are dealing with a beautiful rock/pop song.

The melodic line is very catchy and the choice of sounds is impeccable as usual. Perhaps this is the most radio-friendly song this band has produced to date.

I sincerely believe that a song like this can give a lot of satisfaction to the band as it should please many music supervisors around the world.

The song is accompanied by a nice video that in terms of colors and atmosphere reminded me a bit of the style of Stranger Things.

The Thing With Feathers had already proved in the past to be a very professional band and they reconfirm themselves with this song.

Catchy and Fresh!

The single comes on the heels of ‘Waste My Revenge’ being added to three editorial playlists across Spotify and Apple Music upon release including ‘Fresh Finds Rock’, their ‘Lights Down Low’ music video being added into rotation on MTVs Spankin’ New, and a featured performance at this year’s South By Southwest in Austin, TX prior to embarking on a tour throughout the U.S. that recently concluded in Cleveland, OH.

“These Drugs is about toxic love. It’s about being in the worst part of a bad relationship. Where you know it’s over but you’re still hanging on for any hit of the high it used to be. It’s the slow death of an optimist, only living in glimpses of the past” says Dave Welcsh, lead singer of the group.
