Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s feature band is Callisto and their single This is Awkward.

This is Awkward is Callisto’s single

The wild and alternative sound of this band intrigued me from the very first seconds.

The music reminded me at times of bands like Queens of the Stone Age. The voices instead those of Billie Joe Armstrong while the screams of the chorus Kurt Cobain.

This mix of genres and influences makes this music particularly fascinating.

The musical blend created by Callisto is fantastic and makes them stand out from the crowd. This band already boasts a fair number of followers and in my opinion, their success is deserved as they compose excellent music.

This is Awkward is a rock song with no strings attached. These guys don’t rely on beats and computers but only on their musical instruments and their passion to follow their artistic vision.

This single is a solid tune, pure energy that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

A wonderful discovery to keep under the radar.

Callisto is: James DiNanno, Howi Spangler, Brandon Hardesty, Rob DiNanno

Having started out as a side project for most of the members, Callisto began creating music together purely for fun when they realized they had something great that needed to be shared. Comprised of James DiNanno, Howi Spangler (from renowned Reggae band Ballyhoo!), Brandon Hardesty (from the Bumpin Uglies) and Rob DiNanno, the three vocalist band brings something familiar to fans of the Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and Blink-182, while bringing a modern edge that speaks to fans of Turnstile and Bring Me the Horizon.
