Timeworn is Mike and Mandy’s Single
I was immediately mesmerized by Mandy’s voice. An intense and deep vocal timbre that speaks directly to the listener’s heart.
The melodic construction of the new single Timeworn is very interesting and grows dynamically in an impeccable way.
A compositional style that winks at the past but manages to be modern at the same time. The thing that struck me most about this duo is their artistic approach that I would define as theatrical.
Their alternative rock is crepuscular and nostalgic and makes you want to take the car and wander around the world without a clear destination in mind…just to feel free.
Mike and Mandy are a duo who have great songwriting experience and who compose quality songs.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Timeworn is Mike and Mandy’s Single
Boy. Girl. Shakespeare. Making Beautiful Music Together. Performing artists in Los Angeles, Mike and Mandy met professionally on a Shakespeare play, after which they fell in love, took road trips, shared their love of music and married 3 years later.
Mike was a ska/punk singer and songwriter for 5 years, a reggae keyboardist, & a jazz, funk, and acid-jazz drummer. Mandy grew up in the heart of the US, singing with an Orchestra Children’s Chorus, an Opera Children’s Chorus, and in musicals. She’s sung country, jazz standards, rock n’ roll, and loved “hard folk” like Indigo Girls, classic rock like Pink Floyd & experimental artists like Bjork & Tom Waits. Both developed a taste for the roots of American music.
Mike and Mandy road trips are filled with ”alternative” artists like Radiohead one hour and jazz the next; Alt Country & Roots one minute and trip hop & hip-hop the next. They’ve explored nearly every genre of music in covers and gigs. They give older songs complete reinterpretations and pour their hearts into passionate, evocative originals. Bringing that old punk DIY ethos, Mike and Mandy make all their music and videos at home or on-the-go, jumping out of the car to shoot a music video in front of a cool view. The road is wide, and each song is unique. They can’t wait to take a trip with new listeners. Click follow as we roll down the road celebrating life, love, and old & new music. Genre is a cage.
Absolutely chuffed to receive this valentine of a review.
Rock on 🙂
