our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to UncleBoy. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his musical world.
From the very first notes I liked the compositional style of this artist.
A way of composing music that takes inspiration from the past but manages to be modern at the same time.
The rhythmic cadence of the new single Blue Forever Blue is almost tribal and hypnotic, especially at the beginning.
Surely we are faced with an eclectic and talented artist with a clear vision on how to bring his music to the masses.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener with continuous rhythmic and melodic changes.
UncleBoy manages to mix and make coexist different musical genres creating a unique and original sound recipe.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

UncleBoy is writer/producer Tom Campbell, recording out of his home studio in Bristol, UK. Retro, polytonal, groove-based vibes with loud guitars, drums, and synths; lyrically and musically complex but with simple, memorable refrains. Thematically spanning from the global apocalyptic climate crisis, to the introspective contemplation of the unprecedented loneliness, failure, separation, and other anxieties we collectively experience in modern times. A real humdinger!
