Vagrants is Lake Palmer’s Album

Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s featured Band is Lake Palmer and their Album Vagrants.

Vagrants is Lake Palmer’s Album

As soon as I read the story behind this album I got goosebumps and I was moved.

Vagrants is an everlasting symbol of friendship and love.

Lake Palmer was a promising band that composed beautiful music as you can hear on this album. Unfortunately, before releasing Vagrants one of the founding members Dom DiBlasio passed away.

Today his friends and band members have decided to release the album on Spotify to make sure that as many people as possible can listen to these beautiful tunes.

You feel the passion of these guys while composing and performing their songs. Lake Palmer had managed to create an enviable musical alchemy and their compositional approach is very mature.

Vagrants’ songs are all solid, a folk-rock that brings with it distant musical traditions and above all unleashes an incredible purity and sincerity.

This a great tribute to a friend who is no longer here but who is surely still listening to these beautiful songs.

Vagrants is Lake Palmer’s Album Out Now!

Pure and Sincere!

Vagrants is Lake Palmer’s Album

Lake Palmer were an indie folk band, out of Melbourne Australia, formed by childhood friends Lee French (mandolin/vocals) and Dom DiBlasio (slide guitar). The group quickly grew to a 6 piece, adding a stand up drummer, violin, accordion/banjo and a second acoustic guitar. The group was active from 2012-2014 playing some of Melbourne’s most sought after venues.

Vagrants, is the first, the last, the only album released by Lake Palmer. The band recorded the album in 2013 with it originally due for release in 2014. Before the album was due to be released founding member and slide guitar player Dom DiBlasio tragically passed away. The loss hit the band hard and saw the album shelved for several years with it eventually being softly released to Bandcamp in 2016. By this time the group had already disbanded, not seeing a way forward without the member described as the “heart and soul” of Lake Palmer.

In honour of their friend Dom, the band has decided to release Vagrants on Spotify and all major platforms for the first time.
