Maestro Alfred Hitchock is not only a source of inspiration for our music. Obviously, his immense talent continues to fascinate and inspire people around the world.

A video game inspired by one of his most famous films has recently been announced and we can’t wait to play it.

Vertigo, Hitchcock Inspired Video Game

Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 classic Vertigo is receiving the video game treatment, more than half a century after it first appeared on the big screen. Announced at the Guerrilla Collective, Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is developed by Pendulo Studios and is “an exclusive and original story, loosely inspired by the masterpiece of Alfred Hitchcock-Vertigo”.

The game will follow the life of Ed Miller, a man who somehow manages to survive a fatal car accident and leave unharmed. After the trauma of the accident, Miller insists that his wife and his daughter were with him in the accident, even though the bodies of his family are never found. You will then have the task of unraveling this mystery as you play.

“The main themes of the game are more or less the same as those that appear in the film: obsession, madness, manipulation, identity and confusion between imagination, dreams, memory and reality,” said Josue Monchan, narrative designer at Pendulo Studios, in a statement. print.

To progress in the interactive thriller, you will have to “explore different timelines to control events and separate reality from deceptive memories”. It looks like things are going to be a lot more malleable than they were in the cult movie, and the game plans to take inspiration from the Hitchcock movie, rather than simply repurposing it identically.
