Good Day Noir Family,

The twilight and mysterious atmosphere of this music immediately won me over.

As soon as I hit the play button and the intriguing melody of Wasted Angel caressed my ears, I began to fly with my imagination.

I found myself driving a convertible through the English countryside on one of those nights when you just want to be alone with yourself.

I make a bold comparison but it is as if Nomotion had merged Type O Negative and The Cure together. The addition of the sax is then the icing on the cake that distinguishes the uniqueness of this sound.

A band with a clear and solid artistic vision that produces quality music.

It feels like these guys spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this enviable sonic chemistry. The atmosphere created by their music spoke directly to my soul and I became a fan instantly.

A beautiful discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Formed in early 2014 in Italy, the five-piece band has developed a unique, identifiable sound. Originally mixing alternative country with a darker garage sound; the music has evolved into a sound best described as Southern Gothic Rock.

Nomotion have self-released several EPs including a full-length album in 2019 titled “Funeral Parade of Lovers” “which was well received by critics. The album condenses the path of maturation into eleven tracks compiled over the past five years.

The feature most evident is certainly the abandonment of the country vein in favor of more sonority marked rock. Themes showcased in the album include morbid relationships not only with people, but addictions as well.

The influences are innumerable, so much so that it was once written: “Try asking ten people what Nomotion are playing, you will probably receive as many responses.

In 2020 the band started a collaboration with Mold Records, and have since released several singles and music videos with another EP titled “Abide” being released in April 2021. In 2021 they also teamed up with Ego and Pessimism Records for promotion.

Nomotion have been honoured to share the stage with greats, such as Motorama, Messa, Horror Vacui, The Sade, Reverend Elvis, and Protomartyr.
