Where Are You? is Big Mountain County’s Single Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Big Mountain County in the past but they are out now with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.
This new single from this eclectic band is psychedelic and innovative.
The rhythm, that I would dare to call industrial, infected me and I was unable to sit still in my chair.
For some reason, the melody of this song reminded me of some scenes from the movie Trainspotting…in some moments it even made me think of Sabotage by the Beastie Boys.
Although Big Mountain County is an Italian band from Rome, I compare their compositional style mostly with English bands (except for the Beastie Boys of course) … and as if their music carried within it the smoke and fog of London.
The production is perfect for the genre and especially the mix that leaves the right space for each sound element.
A really good band that has a great future ahead of them!

Big Mountain County come back with a new single, opening to the release of the EP “Klaus” in next April. “Where are you?” is a krautrock rhythmic reiteration, upon which the vocal line moves with memories and all uncertain future possibilities in the throat. The song tries to make contact with someone or something that one would not want lost forever. In the final explosion there is the desire to continue, despite everything, despite the absences and the hard times, the desire not to give up.
