Good Day Noir Family,
our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Marian Simmons and her single & video Winning Heart. This song was written by Philip Truitt and recorded at the Electric Temple Studio. I found this Artist on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere created by her music.

I was mesmerized by this beautiful song.

Honestly, I didn’t expect such an intriguing sound. This music is ethereal and magical and seems to come from the future.

The melody hides a nostalgic message. The vocal interpretation of Marian Simmons is fantastic and speaks directly to the heart and soul of the listener.  Her vocal timbre is as if Tori Amos had met Bjork.

Then when the male voice is added to the chorus, the magic is completed and the equilibrium is perfect.

Marian Simmons is very talented and the collaboration with Philip Truitt is a winner. There seems to be enviable musical chemistry between these two artists.

The general atmosphere created by the Winning Heart is intriguing and manages to make you fly with your imagination and take you to a parallel universe.

A beautiful discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Hypnotic and Magical!

“Winning Heart” came together when Philip presented Marian with the track. She quickly grabbed the lyrics and the characters began to evolve into a storyline while they worked diligently to create this piece of music.

“Winning Heart” is about two strangers from different worlds who meet and have a fated experience and then depart. The storyline is about their effect on each other after the encounter.
